Yes, September is part of Costa Rica's green season. Tropical showers come with the territory but so do some of the most vibrant landscapes of the year.
Mornings are often ideal for getting outside, while afternoon showers bring a different rhythm to the day. And all that rain has an obvious upside: the rainforest is lush and dense, rivers and waterfalls are flowing, and everything seems to turn a deeper shade of green.
So don't think of green season as a reason to do less. Think of it as a different and particularly beautiful way to experience Costa Rica.

September doesn't bring the same number of visitors as Costa Rica's busiest travel periods, and that can change the experience completely.

That's a very different way to experience Manuel Antonio. And September gives you the space to do it.
